My Time With: Royal Envoy (collectors edition)

So bigfishgames were pushing this in everyone's faces (Big Fish Game Club members anyway) and I decided I should at least see what all the fuss was about.

It's one of these time management games where you have build houses and other structures to achieve certain goals, like earning a particular amount, to progress to the next level. Each house you build provides tax-income that needs to be collected by one of your tax collectors by clicking on the house in question. Upgrading houses makes them produce more tax and so on and so on...

The thing is though, the production values here are crazy high! Everything looks really really nice and the music is just fantastic. There are even semi-animated scenes providing a backstory for this fantasy world.

Because of the easy going but quite rewarding gameplay I was going to buy this. I really was! But then when I clicked the buy link from the BFG client and it took me to the purchase screen I was quite shocked that I wasn't going to be able to use one of the BFG credits (which should be good for any individual game on the site!)

In fact this casual game will set you back $20, supposedly because it's the collectors edition but I couldn't find the non-collectors edition on the site to buy instead! If this is going to be the way of things in the future I can see my BFG subscription stopping - afterall I've been a member for a year and a half now and still have not received my Felix-The-Fish plushy!

With all that said, it's a good looking game and will definitely appeal to nearly any time management fanatic, so check it out here! Personally I'll be waiting for the Non-Collectors Edition...
