Is this Unreal? Unreal Engine Showing Off!

The Unreal Engine has been with us for some time now. I remember first seeing the castle from the original Unreal along to the sound track of the very talented Alexander Brandon. I remember seeing the cave leading up to the castle, which I don't think you saw in the intro and feeling that this was truly the start of a new age for gaming.

Such are the memories that pour back when the UE guys release tech videos like the ones below.

I'm not entirely sure how much of this is brand new but it's still impressive nonetheless and you can see why it's the most used engine out there. The first video includes the flowers above close up as well as a small aztec-y temple during a time-of-day cycle (eg, from day to night and back to day) including some impressive weather effects.

Very nice and kind of relaxing to watch I found, I wonder if anyone else finds these kinds of videos interesting like me?

Many of the bigger game series I'm into right now use this engine. After the fantastic views in Mass Effect 2's "Overlord" DLC, I can't wait to see what they do with it next for Mass Effect 3 (or any further DLC?)
